The first detailed plan of Helsinki, named the capital of the Grand Duchy of Finland, from 1820, and an aerial image from 2019. In the pictures, you can clearly see the impact of backfilling on the shape of the Helsinki peninsula. In addition to Kluuvinlahti, the small Töölönjärvi lake has also been filled in.
