A memorial medal for the Finnish Guard
Share
On the obverse of the bronze-struck medal, the Gorny Dubnyak memorial in the courtyard of the Guard Barracks is depicted in the centre; around the monument are four trees and at its base a wreath, with two Guardsmen in uniforms from different periods standing guard. In the field: 1812–1905; below: P. 1922; at the bottom: two crossed laurel branches.
In 1922 a memorial medal for the Finnish Guard was designed by J. H. Munsterhjelm and produced by O. Oertel. At the front is the monument in Helsinki with two Guard soldiers, a tree and a wreath.
