Facade of the Senate House

A big yellow building with six white columns in the facade
The Corinthian columns of the House of the Senate, together with the dome above the house, reference the Pantheon in Rome. This was to emphasise the role of the Senate in the fields of law and administration. The Ionic columns of the university's main building refer to Greece and the science and art it represents.
