George and Lilly Ramsay (middle) on the Munksnäs mansion veranda in 1909. Lilly was very enterprising and active, but her significant work for the Finnish Guard soldiers and their families has been largely forgotten in history writing, which almost exclusively focuses on the Guard’s war participation.
