The sea voyages were pleasant, with games on the deck if the weather was favourable.

The steamship Ariadne about to leave Helsinki for Szczecin. There are plenty of passengers on the outer deck and those who have accompanied them on the quay. Ariadne was built in 1914 and was owned by Finland Steamship Company Ltd until 1969. The bow of the ship was overhauled in 1938.
