After Aarno Ruusuvuori’s renovation, the facade of the town hall was still of the 19th century Empire style, but the interior had been fully renovated in the spirit of the 1970s, with simplified, light surfaces. The materials are varied: concrete, stone and metal. Note also the simplistic clock, which many Finns will recognise from schools of the same era.
