Vanhakaupunki 1930

Scenery by the Vanhankaupunginkoski rapids in 1930. No buildings from the period of Swedish rule have survived in the area. The removal of the Vanhankaupunginkoski dam to protect the salmon population of the river has long been a topic of debate in the city.
